It will be the Venom’s last opportunity to compete in this years’ continental football having scaled down to this round following elimination from the CAF Champions League by Algeria’s CS Constantine.

And certainly the Ugandan Side will have to utilize home advantage and draw first blood with a daunting return leg slated for next week in Tunisia.

It will be litmus test for the new coaching technical bench headed by new coaches Edward Golola and Kenyan Micheal Ouma who replaced Mexican Martinez Espinoza.

The Venoms warmed up for this particular encounter by thrashing Onduparaka FC 3-0 in their league game last time out and the technical bench will hope the player’s goal scoring touch doesn’t evade them when it matters most.

Sfaxien head Coach Ruud Krol is already worried of his opponents- claiming they will give them a “good challenge”.

“They are good side who will give us a challenge,” the Dutch coach said upon the his side’s arrival on Thursday.

Dan Sserunkuma, Moses Waiswa and new singing Innocent Wafula will be pivotal for the home side to pick a decent result.
