Uganda Cranes’ defender Henry Kalungi this evening met Uganda FA president Moses Magogo as both reminisced about the national team’s journey to the 2019 AFCON.
Cranes qualified for their second consecutive continental showpiece after defeating Cape Verde 1-0 thanks to Patrick Kaddu’s header that found the back of the net in 79th minute at Namboole Stadium.
And in the meeting, Kalungi – congratulated the President and his federation upon the feat, before pledging to play his part in building the game in the country through his charity.
Magogo also handed Kalungi and his Jacqueline brand new jerseys as a sign of appreciation for their contribution to Ugandan Football.
Speaking to Airtel Football, Kalungi lauded the Federation for the work well done.
“We basically spent some time and congratulate the federation and national team on the success. There is a lot of great things being done to improve the game.
