Reigning League Champions Vipers SC have announced the capture of free agent
The Kitende based announced Kiiza’s arrival on their official website on Sunday morning.
“Vipers Sports Club has completed the signing of striker Hamis ‘Diego’ Kiiza for six months subject to an extension on a free transfer from Ethiopia’s Fasil Kenema FC where he has been plying his trade during the past year,” it read in this part.
The former URA FC forward has been training with the Venoms for close to two months with the confirmation of his deal deterred by International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
He becomes the club’s second major January transfer signing after Kenyan import Innocent Wafula who joined at the beginning of this mid-season window.
Diego, as he is popularly known, has firmly established himself as one of the most prolific forwards in Uganda with the way he deploys speed and the fantastic clever positioning on the last line of defence.
