Self-proclaimed football messiah Allan Kabonge has reportedly agreed to join Big League side Kyetume FC as the side’s new head coach on a short term deal.
Kabonge, whose coaching fame rests on guiding teams to Uganda’s top tier league, replaces Alex Isabirye Musongola who dumped the promotion chasing side at the beginning of this week to take up a role as Nyamityobora FC technical director.
Kabonge is reported to have agreed a three months deal but the financial details of the deal, like it is a norm for Ugandan football transfers, remains undisclosed.
The flamboyant CAF C licensed coach has been out of active service since parting ways with Entebbe FC in January. He was heavily linked to Kitara FC and Ntinda United FC but nothing materialized.
Certainly he has been tasked to guide the Mukono-based club to league promotion.
Kabonge boasts a rosy track record of steering teams to the revered echelons of topflight football with Aurum Roses, Onduparaka, Masavu and Paidha Black Angels his successful stories.
