The She corporates vs Muteesa Royal University

The Sharks who were dominant right from onset won the game 1-0 courtesy of Millicent Mwanzi’s first half strike that eventually decided the contest.

The Kenyan forward who is on loan from UCU Lady Cardinals fired home at the quarter hour mark after coming well with Jackie Ogwal who set her up for the lone goal of the game.

Mwanzi also scored in the previous round (round of 32) as She Corporate eliminated Ajax Queens with a similar score.

Despite progressing, She Corporate coach Ali Zzinda was left disappointed with the inefficiency of his strikers who missed several chances.

“It is important that we advanced to the next stage but I’m disappointed that we did not score many goals yet we had the opportunities. A score line of 1-0 doesn’t give you guarantee until the final whistle so we were on tenter hooks,” he said.

Sarah Namulidwa, Aisha Namubiru and Mwanzi were all wasteful on the day.

In the other games played on Sunday, Uganda Martyrs High School nicked a hard fought win against Divine Girls. Prossy Nalwoga scored the all important goal to guide the school side to the next stage.

Makerere University(She MAK) stunned 2016 finalists Asubo Gafford Ladies with a 3-0 win. Catherine Nagadya(brace) and Prossy Nabukeera scored for Makerere.
