The Uganda Cubs will open up their UEFA international tournament account with a game against Cameroon on Tuesday at the Emirhan Sports Complex in Antalya in Turkey.

The U-17 team are in Turkey to participate in an only-invite tournament to form part of the team’s preparations for this year’s CAF U-17 Africa Championships in April.

Coach Jackson Magera’s charges were grouped a long side giants Cameroon, Morocco and Belarus. And they take-on Cameroon in their opening fixture at 4PM.

“We are ready for the game”, assistant coach Hamuza Lutalo told Airtel Football. “The boys have responded well to the weather conditions and hopefully we shall win our first game,” he added.

Tanzania will play Guinea in the opening game at 4PM. This tournament is exclusively sponsored by UEFA and it will help the Africa countries invited to prepare for the CAF U-17 tournament that will be staged in Tanzania, come April.
