The loss left Nebbi Central languishing at the bottom of the Elgon group table and are left with just five games to starve-off the looming relegation -having collected just 10 points from the 15 games played. Whilst winners Amuka Bright Stars, who at kick-off sat third boasted fourteen points, moved away from the periphery of relegation.

Emmanuel Okwir converted from 12-Yards towards the culmination of first half to give Amuka a half time lead.

Nigerian import Innocent Maduka “Oga” doubled Amuka’s lead in the 70th minute and virtually take the contest out of Nebbi’s reach.

Osman Miraj Killa pulled one back what proved to be a consolation for the Uganda Cup quarter-finalists with a well converted penalty in the dying embers of the game.

Maximum points moved Amuka out of the relegation zone and sit seventh with 17 points from 15 games played.

Amuka will play against Entebbe FC in their next outing at the UTC grounds in Lira on 21st March while Nebbi will visit Kataka FC on the same date.
