Uganda Premier League minnows Kirinya Jinja SS has produced the biggest number of players named for Busoga Province team a head of the forthcoming 2019 FUFA Drum.
Led by hotshot Joel Madondo and thirteen other Kirinya players, Busoga has also included semiprofessional players Shafic Batambuze from Kenyan giants Gor Mahia and Muhammad Didi of Nairobi Stima.
Uganda Cranes midfield enforcer Khalid Aucho, who plies his trade with Indian club Church Hill brothers, is also included on the squad.
The Eastern based province will be bidding to go a step better this year after exiting at the semifinals on the hands of eventual runners up West Nile.
Ironically, the side is to be coached by former Kirinya Jinja SS coach Charles Ayiekho, and assisted by Hassan Zungu.
Busoga will open their account against Tooro province. Kampala and Rwenzori are the other teams in Busoga’s group A. Busoga’s training starts on Tuesday 26th March 2019 at Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe.
