Uganda Premier League netbusters Juma Balinya and Bashir Mutanda will lead Buganda’s charge when the side takes-on Lango Pronvice for this year’s FUFA Drum opener at Bishop grounds Mukono on Saturday.

The highly billed encounter will mark the official opening ceremony of the second edition of the tournament and will be presided over by Buganda premier Charles Peter Mayinga.

Defending champions and inaugural winners Buganda will be hoping to start their crown defence in a colossal fashion as they jostle David Obua’s Lango.

Uganda Premier League leading top scorers Juma Balinya and Bashir Mutanda will be the men to took out for coach Alex Isabirye Musongola side.

Robert Ssentongo (Kyetume), Allan Kayiwa (Tooro United) and Viane Ssekajugo (Onduparaka) will come in handy for the aforementioned deadly combo.

Certainly, motivation won’t be the side’s Achilles heel after the FUFA organising Chairman Rogers Byamukama confirmed that Buganda was given their Shs 30m prize money.

However, Lango won’t be easy visitors, to put it mildly.

They beat Buganda 3-1 last season in Mukono and have roped in Cranes legend David Obua as their new Coach.

The team has a couple of top flight players including Okwir Dickens (Paidha), Allan Okello (KCCA), John Ocire (Nyamityobora) and Timothy Awany (KCCA) among others.
