Express FC coach George Ssimwogerere is not fretting over the prospect of facing off with Bright Stars in the semifinals of the this year’s Uganda Cup.

The gaffer has thrown down gauntlet terming Bright Stars ” an average team that has not caused him sleepless nights.”

The two sides face-off in the first leg on Sunday at Champions stadium in Mwererwe.

During a press briefing at Kati Kati, Ssimwogerere said his side’s illustrious history in this competition puts his side in good stead.

“We are delighted to be in the semifinals of the Uganda Cup.” The former Uganda Cranes player noted.

“We are very prepared to face Bright Stars and the good thing is that the first leg is away from home and history is on our side.”

He continued, “I believe we have all it takes to win this competition basing on the opponents remaining in the competition.

“They are all average and can’t give me sleepless nights like if we were facing the likes of Vipers or KCCA FC.”

Express FC will be seeking to lift the Uganda Cup for the 11th time while Bright Stars are in search of their first ever Uganda Cup triumph.

The finals will be held at Masaka Recreational grounds on May 25th, 2019.
