Head coach Douglas Bamweyana has continued to miss SC Villa training following heavy pressure to throw in the towel after his embarrassing 2-1 home loss to Tooro United on Tuesday.
In his absence, the assistant coach Simon Peter Mugerwa has been fully in charge of training alongside club legend Nestroy Kizito.
A section of the media has hinted of ‘forced resignation’ ploy from the top bosses and fans.
When contacted Bamweyana who has previously coached Makerere University and Express admitted that indeed he has been away from the club duties and contemplates throwing down the towel owing to in-fighting.
I have not yet left but strongly considering it. There are so many issues and wrong elements within and around the club. The environment is not conducive to succeed. There are so many unnecessary battles off the pitch from people with all sorts of wrong intentions. We will have a meeting with the executive one of these days and make a final decision
Douglas Bamweyana, SC Villa Head Coach
Bamweyana replaced Moses Basena who was sacked just after 8 matches after a slow start and lack of control for the dressing room.
SC Villa was officially declared safe from relegation after Ndejje University slipped to Onduparaka 1-0 (Viane Ssekajugo scored for the Caterpillars) during the game played over two days because of a flooded terrain.
