Micheal Azira

Uganda Cranes midfielder Michael Azira has been shortlisted on the national team squad ahead of the 2019 AFCON in Egypt this summer.

Azira who last featured for the side in the 2017 edition in Gabon had been out of the fold in the qualifying campaign but with a very active career in the Major League Soccer in the US.

The Montreal Impact player has for the last couple of seasons been a regular and he now earns a chance to showcase his potential once again on the continent.

Azira has featured for 13 games out of 14 this season. He has started 11 and had one assist. This is already more than the games (11) he played at the same franchise the whole of last season.
