He had been bed ridden for a long spell of time.

He had assumed the duties as Uganda Cranes kits manager in 2013 until mid-2018 when he got ill.

It is sad that Saidi Lugolobi is dead. He was a diligent servant and respectful at all times

Lugolobi was part of the official Uganda Cranes delegation at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals in Gabon.

He cherished and adored his work as he rarely skipped a Uganda Cranes training match.

When he fell ill mid-2018, he was replaced by former Uganda Cranes defender Lawrence Kizito.

Kizito is currently part of the Uganda Cranes delegation in Abu Dhabi alongside Ayub Balyejusa, another Uganda Cranes former player.
