Inter have started the new Serie A campaign with two wins, scoring first and winning the opening half ‘to nil’ both times.
The ‘Nerazzurri’ have now opened the scoring in their last four home league games, winning three (D1), though they only managed to score first in three of the last eight H2Hs here.
Nevertheless, Inter have won seven of the last nine SA H2Hs at all venues and remain unbeaten in the first half over the sequence.
Last season, Inter only conceded ten home goals, keeping a first-half clean sheet on 16 occasions, a feat also achieved in the last three H2Hs.
Despite scoring the opening goal, Udinese lost to Parma last round which ended their run of four consecutive SA victories.
That 3-1 loss put the spotlight on their defence, which only kept three SA clean sheets away from home last season.
Udinese only won three away games overall in SA in 2018/19, despite winning their last two away games.
Players to watch: The last 12 games that Romelu Lukaku has scored in for club and country have been accompanied by a win for his team.
Kevin Lasagna has been Udinese’s first goal-scorer in the last seven competitive matches he’s found the net (W1, D2, L4).
