With just one clean sheet across 19 competitive matches, Manchester United’s faltering defence continues to be an issue.

The half-time team talks clearly aren’t helping, with three of the Red Devils’ four goals conceded this season coming in the second half.

It’s not just the United defence that is struggling at present, and damningly, the ‘Red Devils’ have scored less than 1.5 match goals in nine of their previous ten competitive fixtures.

However, they can often strike early, having scored in the opening 30 minutes in three of their four league matches so far.

Leicester, by contrast, have started the season strongly, going undefeated across their opening five competitive matches.

They tend to start fast, having opened the scoring in each of their previous three competitive matches, though it is worth noting that they did concede an equalising goal on all three of those occasions.

The ‘Foxes’ haven’t won any of their previous ten competitive H2H matches vs United, and have lost seven of them.

Strikingly, they have conceded two or more goals in six of the previous seven H2H meetings.

Players to watch: New-boy Daniel James has three goals across his first four PL appearances for United, with two of those goals coming after the 80th minute.

Leicester’s Jamie Vardy has three league goals this season, and he scored in the last meeting between these sides at Old Trafford last season.
