Uganda Cranes head coach Jonathan McKinstry has lauded Godfrey Walusimbi for his great contribution to the national team after calling time on his career.
McKinstry – who has just replaced Sebastien Desabre – thanked Walusimbi for the exemplary display he exhibited while playing for Uganda Cranes.
“Congrats Godfrey Walusimbi on a fantastic decade wearing the @UgandaCranes jersey,” he wrote on his twitter page.
“Whilst you will no longer be on the field with us, your example will act as a benchmark for the next generation. Good luck as you focus on your new challenge in Albania. Weebale Nnyo!”
Walusimbi currently plays at Albanian top tier side KF Vllaznia. He departs as the most capped Uganda Cranes player with 105 caps.
