Uganda Cranes captain Denis Onyango has lauded retiring colleague and left back Godfrey Walusimbi for his great leadership skills after calling time on his international career.
Walusimbi announced his retirement from the national team after missing out on selection for the friendly against Ethiopia.
In his letter to FUFA, the star revealed he was giving opportunity to other players to have a go at the left back position after quite a spell.
Onyango joined Jamal in praising the 30-year old as he now tries to concetrate on his career at Albanian top tier side KF Vllaznia.
“U have been a great leader on and off the pitch [sic], thank u for the memories with the national team..much respect,” Onyango worte on his twitter page.
