These awards are a celebration of football in Uganda. Thank you to everyone who is involved in the organising of the 2019 Airtel FUFA Awards awards and now looking forward on who gets the recognition.
The awards that will take place on 14th December at Speke Resort, Munyonyo have had changes and these include;
- The nomination process for this year’s awards has involved each of the captain and coach of the 16 clubs in the Uganda Premier League for the male category and the same process was done for the female category.
- Coaches’ votes will contribute 50% while the captains will have 25% contribution each. This has changed from the previous process that has been entirely left to fans to decide.
- There has been an introduction of new categories for the 2019 edition including the Airtel FUFA Best XI for Women, Airtel FUFA Women coach of the year and the fans’ favourite team of the year among others.
