Uganda Cranes defender Henry Kalungi has been given the green light to start working on his coaching C License by the U.S. Soccer Coaching Education Department.
Kalungi has been working with several youth systems in North Carolina. He now looks to ascend the ladder with the goal of extending his skills and giving back to his community.
In a post he shared on his Twitter page, the star revealed how he has been allowed to start courses to attain a coaching C license.
“Thank you at @ussoccer_coach @ussoccer for approving me to start working on my “C” license,” he posted. “Learning is always key to better others. Looking forward to continue making a difference in that field.”
Since leaving Charlotte Independence (in December 2018) after four years with the club, Kalungi has been ramping up support for his organisation – The Henry Kalungi Foundation.
This year, he hopes to extend support to more underprivileged children but also break ground for a hospital and school.
