Vipers SC needed one goal to edge rivals and tax-masters URA FC on Tuesday in the Uganda Premier League.

Dan Mzee Sserunkuma scored from close range off substitute Innocent Wafula’s low cross in the 64th minute to hand Vipers the lead.

Cromwell Rwothomio’s goal for URA FC was ruled out while Daniel Isiagi’s effort hit the cross-bar.

The win was Vipers 10th in the league this season. The Kitende-based side remain top with 33 points.

Meanwhile URA is now 10th on the log after suffering a setback. Vipers battle defending champions KCCA on Saturday at Lugogo next, while URA host Busoga United.
