KCCA FC manager Mike Hillary Mutebi has conceded he was at fault for missing the trip to Western Uganda as his team lost 2-1 to Mbarara City FC on Tuesday.
The flamboyant tactician was left behind as the team bus set off on Monday morning despite efforts to wait for him beyond the agreed departure time.
“I arrived late in the morning and the team bus had already left,” Mutebi confessed on Thursday during a press briefing in Lugogo.
“I never fulfilled the obligations, and I am ready to serve any punishment given to me by the club but that will be internal,” he added.
It is reported, striker John Odumegwu and Badru Kaddu, one of KCCA FC assistants had to chase after the bus, a thing Mutebi denied.
Mbarara City FC came from behind to condemn KCCA FC to their third loss this season.
Ibrahim Orit and Swalik Segujja scored for the Ankole Lions to cancel out Sam Ssenyonjo’s goal.
KCCA FC who take on SC Villa on Friday are 4th on the log with 26 points.
