Champions KCCA FC and new comers Proline FC will hope to end the first round of the 2019/20 Uganda Premier League season on a high as the two teams face off on Tuesday in the Lugogo derby.
Proline FC is struggling to move away from the relegation zone while KCCA FC on the other hand wants to bridge the gap between them and leaders Vipers SC.
KCCA FC come into this game on the back of a 4-1 win against rivals SC Villa and head coach Mike Hillary Mutebi is confident his charges will fetch maximum points against Proline FC.
“It was important that we won against SC Villa because that gives us motivation ahead of today’s game and we hope to get the best result.”
“Proline FC could be bottom of the table but they play good football. Therefore, it will not be an easy game but we are focused on winning.”
Proline FC will miss the services of several players including goalkeeper Hassan Matovu, midfielder Ibrahim Wamanah and defenders James Begesa and Bernard Muwanga who are all on loan from KCCA FC.
Combative midfielder Mahad Yaya Kakooza is also ruled out of the tie while Alfred Aleku is playing in the FUFA Drum with West Nile province.
Proline FC have managed to win just three games in the last twelve meetings against KCCA FC.
