Busoga United continued with their fine form this year with another win on Saturday.

The Jinja based outfit edged Mbarara City FC at the Mighty Arena on Saturday thanks to striker Lawrence Tezikya’s lone strike.

The teenage striker scored the all-important goal in the 63rd minute off right back Abubaker Otwao’s assist.

Tezikya had initially scored in the 47th minute but his goal was ruled out for offside. He however, got it right three minutes after the hour mark to fire home.

This is the third win for Abbey Bogere Kikomeko’s charges in the second round in as many games.

It lifts them to 7th place on 27 points same as Onduparaka FC who play Wakiso Giants FC on Sunday.

Mbarara City FC on the other hand is yet to win away this season and the loss saw them drop to 9th place with 22 points.
